Night after night, Henry has been available around the end of the second round.
And honestly? I keep asking the same question: Why?
Tonight, Derrick Henry was the 11th running back off the board at the 2.07.
Eleventh.
To find a finish that low in the running back landscape, you have to go back to his Tennessee Titans days.
Yes, Derrick Henry is getting older. Yes, age matters at running back.
Except sometimes we become so obsessed with the number on a player’s birth certificate that we forget to evaluate the actual player.
And Derrick Henry is not your typical running back. He is King Henry.
Every year, the fantasy football world looks for a reason to predict the decline. Eventually, Father Time will win. That is true for every player.
But are we really ready to declare that this is the year?
At RB11 off the board, you do not need Derrick Henry to finish as the No. 1 running back in fantasy football. You do not even need him to be the Derrick Henry of five years ago.
If Henry gives you another top-eight type of season, the owner who selected him at 2.07 could look back at this pick as one of the steals of the draft.
That is what value is all about. You are not drafting the player’s past. You are drafting what he can do this season compared to what you had to pay to get him.
And at RB11? I’ll take my chances with King Henry.
Saquon Barkley at 2.08: Did Everyone Forget What He Did in 2024?
One pick later, the running back value continued.
Saquon Barkley went at 2.08 as the next running back off the board — and he did not have to go far from Derrick Henry.
This is another one that makes me wonder how quickly fantasy football owners forget.
Did we forget what Saquon Barkley did in 2024?
Over 2,000 rushing yards. An absolutely massive fantasy football season. And more importantly, the kind of ceiling that only a handful of running backs in the NFL can realistically offer.
Yes, the Eagles offense looks different. A.J. Brown is gone, and that changes the conversation in Philadelphia.
But for me, it also creates an interesting question: Could the Eagles lean even more heavily on Saquon Barkley?
That does not mean Barkley is automatically going to rush for 2,000 yards again. Nobody should be expecting that.
But when you are drafting a player with his talent, his role, and his history at the end of the second round, you are still buying access to an elite ceiling.
Saquon Barkley has already shown us what happens when everything comes together. He can win fantasy football leagues. That is the upside you are chasing in a high-dollar redraft league.
At 2.08, the risk is already baked into the price.
If Barkley is healthy and the Eagles continue to build their offense around one of the most explosive running backs in football, there is absolutely a path to another elite fantasy season.
And if that happens? The owner who took him at 2.08 will be very happy they did not overthink it.
Javonte Williams at 4.07: RB18 Could Be a Massive Value
This might be my favorite running back pick of the night.

Let’s start with what happened last season. Javonte finished as the RB11.
And now, in tonight’s Silver Live Draft, he was the 18th running back selected.
That is a pretty significant gap.
Yes, fantasy football is about projecting forward. Last year’s finish does not guarantee anything this year.
But the situation matters.
Javonte Williams is playing in a Dallas offense featuring Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and George Pickens. That is a lot of offensive firepower. Defenses cannot simply stack the box and dare Dallas to throw the football when they have to respect the passing game.
And when you put a capable running back inside a high-powered offense, touchdowns can change everything.
Could Javonte Williams score 15 touchdowns this season? Absolutely. Is that a guarantee? Of course not.
But that is the point of taking him at RB18. You are not paying for his absolute ceiling. You are drafting him at a point where there is room for him to outperform the price.
If he finished RB11 last year and lands in another productive Dallas offense, why should we assume that repeating or even improving on that finish is impossible?
The fourth round is where fantasy football drafts can start to separate. Everyone knows who the stars are in Round 1. The real difference-makers often come from finding the player who finishes 10 spots ahead of where you drafted him.
Javonte Williams at 4.07 has that type of potential.
Chris Rodriguez at 12.05: Is Everyone Looking at the Wrong Jacksonville Running Back?
This might be the quietest running back value from tonight’s draft.
Chris Rodriguez went at 12.05.
Right now, it feels like everybody is chasing Bhayshul Tuten. And I understand why.
Tuten is the exciting name. He is the player generating attention. He is the running back fantasy football owners want to draft because they see the upside and want to be ahead of the breakout.
But sometimes, when everybody is looking in one direction, there is value sitting right beside them.
Quietly, Chris Rodriguez could have a much bigger role in Jacksonville than his draft position suggests.
Maybe Tuten comes in and takes over the backfield. That is certainly possible.
But is it also possible that Rodriguez and Tuten split the carries more evenly than fantasy football owners expect? Absolutely.
And there is also a scenario where Chris Rodriguez simply wins the job.
That is what makes this pick so interesting at 12.05.
You are not drafting Rodriguez expecting him to be a guaranteed RB1. You are drafting a player in the 12th round who has a legitimate path to becoming a meaningful contributor — or potentially much more.
Fantasy football owners often become attached to the newest and most exciting name in a backfield. The rookie gets the hype. The unknown creates excitement. Everyone starts imagining the ceiling.
Meanwhile, the other running back can become an afterthought.
That is where bargains are found.
If Chris Rodriguez earns an even 50/50 split with Tuten, his current draft cost could already look cheap. If he wins the job? Then suddenly a 12th-round pick becomes one of the biggest values on the entire roster.
And that is the type of pick I love making late in a fantasy football draft.
At that point, do not draft for a safe floor. Draft for a path. Draft the player who could become significantly more valuable than the price you paid.
Tonight, Chris Rodriguez at 12.05 was exactly that type of pick.
Everybody may be chasing Bhayshul Tuten right now. But do not be surprised if we look back later in the season and realize that Chris Rodriguez was the Jacksonville running back we should have been paying more attention to.
Rachaad White at 12.09: Don’t Sleep on the Washington Opportunity
And then there was the late-round pick that really caught my attention.

At this point in the draft, you are looking for players who can outperform expectations. You are not drafting perfection. You are looking for opportunity.
And Rachaad White may have more opportunity than his draft position suggests.
He is now in Washington, reunited with his former college teammate Jayden Daniels.
The Commanders backfield is still one of the situations fantasy football owners will be watching closely, but White brings something that always has value in PPR leagues: the ability to catch the football.
And I think there is a real possibility that he could emerge as the best running back in Washington this season.
Again, at 12.09, you do not need to know that with certainty. That is the beauty of the pick.
If White becomes the lead back or earns a significant receiving role in an explosive offense led by Jayden Daniels, you could be getting a weekly starter in the 12th round.
Those are the picks that can quietly change a fantasy football season.
Nobody celebrates their 12th-round selection on draft night the way they celebrate a first-round star.
But ask anyone who has won a fantasy football championship. Eventually, somebody from the middle or late rounds usually ends up in the starting lineup.
Rachaad White has a path. And at 12.09, that path is worth betting on.
